I'm hoping to add a list of SOTI web resources. If you have any to suggest, please don't hesitate to e-mail me.
For years finding any copy of Seduction of the Innocent has been tough. But since the bibliography was pulled from most copies of the book before it went on sale, finding a copy with a bibliography has been a real challenge. It took me nearly 20 years to find and purchase a copy of Seduction of the Innocent with bibliography and dust jacket. Now that I finally have it, I can sell off some of the other copies of SOTI that I bought along the way. Here's what I have. Just e-mail me if you're interested in one of these and would like some scans to check out condition.
COPY 1: First print, no dust jacket, no bibliography, no store/library stamps or markings. The eye appeal of this book
has been dramatically enhanced by the addition of a reproduction of the original dust jacket, and a reproduction of the
original bibliography.   SOLD
COPY 2: Second print, from 1954. Overstreet makes no distinction in price between the first
and second
printings. The second print is often mistaken for the first. The second print says "second print" on the
inside front flap of the DJ, and does not have the R colophon on the publication page.
This is a former library copy, with library stamps inside and a black strip of marker on the top & bottom of the book.   SOLD
COPY 3: This is it. The holy grail for collectors or Golden Age comic books or scholars of
the comic book censorship movement of the 1950's. You've dreamed of owning one, and this is
your chance. This is a first print of Seduction of the Innocent, with dust jacket, and bibliography!!! $495   SOLD
COPY 4: The holy grail, only better. This is a first print of Seduction of the Innocent, with dust jacket, and bibliography!!!
The DJ for this copy is much better than the DJ for copy 3. E-mail me for scans of either/both. $895
Thanks for checking out my site!
Mostly for my own reference, but maybe you'll be interested in these things too, here's a list of some pre-SOTI articles I'm looking for. Yellow indicates I have it. White indicates that I don't have it. In most cases, that meanas I'm looking for it. The stuff that's related to Wertham's later (Fanzine) years doesn't interest me nearly as much as the pre-Code anti-comics stuff he did.
